3. ATTACHING THE BELT COVER
WARNING :
To avoid possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, turn off the power to the machine and
check to be sure that the motor has totally stopped rotating in prior.
1) Put the V belt on the pulley of the sewing machine.
2) Fix belt cover body (B) 1 on the table with wood screw 2 and washer 3 .
3) Fix belt cover support post 4 in the tapped hole in the machine arm.
4) Fix belt cover 5 on the machine arm with belt cover mounting seat 6 , belt cover setscrew 7 and washer 8 .
5) Put bobbin winder !2 in the belt cover and adjust the position of the former so that it does not come in con-
tact with the machine arm and belt cover. Then, fix the bobbin winder with wood screws !3 and washer !4 .
6) Install belt cover lid 9 in place with setscrews !0 and !1 .
7) Tilt the machine head to check whether the belt cover does not come in contact with the slit in the table. In
addition, check whether the belt cover does not come in contact with the handwheel. As long as the belt cover
comes in contact with neither of them, tighten all the screws.
