1. General remarks
Basic pumps are single-stage centrifugal pumps,
designed to provide a large flow of water at low
manometric head.
They are designed for recirculating water at a maxi-
mum temperature of 35ºC, in small collapsible swim-
ming pools.
Following correctly the instructions of installation and
use and the electrical connection diagrams guarantees
the perfect operation of the pump. We refuse liability for
any consequences deriving from the non-observance
of these instructions.
If the pump is not fixed, do not operate if there
are people in the swimming pool.
2. Installation
The large support guarantees the pump's sta-
bility without the need for additional fixtures.
However, if preferred, it can be fixed to a solid
base with screws of Ø 6 or 8 mm passing
through the holes in the support.
The pump must be installed horizontally, as
together with one of the follow-
nante. Los componentes principales están
debidamente identificados para poder proceder
a un desguace selectivo.
close as possible to the water level. It must be
situated in a place which is safe from possible
flooding or splashing and which has good venti-
lation ensured.
3. Fitting the pipes
The pump is fitted with built-in suction and discharge
connectors for the direct connection of flexible hoses
with interior diameter of 32 or 38 mm. We recom-
mend fitting the tube of greater diameter.
The discharge pipe must have a slight upward slope
to the pump in order to prevent air pockets.
The weight of the pipes must not rest directly on the
pump.
4. Electrical connection
The pump must be connected to the electrical
grid after the hydraulic connection has been
made.
On fixed installations, know in advance how to
isolate the electrical charge to the pump.
The electrical installation must have a multiple-
separation system with a contact gap of at least
3 mm.
The protection of the system must be based on
a differential switch (1 fn = 30 mA). The power
cable must be no lighter than H05VV-F.
The single-phase motors have built-in thermal
protection.
The diagrams in fig. 1 show the correct electrical
connection.
5. Checks prior to initial start-up
Check that the mains voltage and frequency
coincide with those indicated on the specifica-
tions plate.
Ensure that the pump shaft turns freely.
Check the turning direction of the motor by
observing whether the fan turns in the direction
of the arrow printed on the cover (DO NOT
remove the fan cover).
Fill the body of the pump and the suction pipe
completely with water. Check the watertightness
of the whole assembly.
THE PUMP MUST NEVER OPERATE DRY.
