Periodic maintenance by the user
WARNING
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible
for damage to people, animals or objects caused
by incorrect maintenance. A proper functioning
of this machine is ensured by its correct main-
tenance. It is therefore important to follow these
instructions. Wear protective gloves for high tem-
peratures before starting maintenance.
Cleaning body parts
Clean with non-dripping, damp cloth. Avoid using
abrasive detergents or sponges.
Cleaning parts in contact
with coffee
Every evening or before turning off the machine,
remove filter holders from brewing units and the
filters from filter holders
the brush (current machine accessory) and proper
detergent in order to avoid encrusting on external
and internal surfaces. Remove and properly clean

the drip tray
and the cup grill.
Daily cleaning:
cleaning group heads
The machine is equipped with an automatic group-
cleaning cycle. To start the cycle o f each group,
follow the instructions below:

• Remove the filter holder from the group to be
cleaned, then remove its filter and replace it with
the blind filter (current machine accessory).
• Put one cleaning tablet (current machine acces-
sory) in the blind filter, fill the filter with water and
put the filter holder back in place on the machine.
• Press the WASH button (PD1) for 5 seconds – use
buttons (PD1) and (PD2) to select the group to be
cleaned (the one corresponding to filter holder with
cleaning tablet) and press ENTER button (PD3).
• Press the ENTER button (PD3) again to start the
cycle.
After activating the cleaning cycle, the main menu
and the "cleaning" icon will be shown on display.
Repeat the above mentioned procedure for all
other groups.
When group cleaning is over and before using the
machine again, take at least 200 cc of water from
each group by pressing button
