It is important to keep the control unit ventilation vents clean in order to avoid abnormal heating.
9.2 PREVENTIVE AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
I-Endo Dual micro-motor inspection/overhaul: The manufacturer recommends inspection or overhaul of
the I-Endo micro-motor at least once a year.
The micro motor cable has limited durability and is considered a consumable product. The durability of
the cable is largely dependent upon use and treatment, i.e., handling, reprocessing and frequency of
use.
Caution must be exercised when connecting or disconnecting the micro motor and foot control cable
from the device to avoid damage to the cable (Fig. 13).
Periodically inspect the micro motor cord for damage prior to use. If there is damage noted, contact
Satelec.
1. Do not attempt to disassemble the motor or motor connector.
2. Do not oil or lubricate the motor.
3. Do not attach a handpiece to the motor while the motor is running.
4. Do not bend motor cord sharply.
Failure to comply with any of the above instructions may void your warranty
The average life of this medical device with normal use and in accord with the
present user manual, has been calculated to be 5 years. According with EN 62353
we recommend users verify every 2 years from the date of the first use: dispersion
current versus ground, in the box and in the patient.
MOTOR RUBBER O-RING:
If necessary, substitute the "Rubber O-Ring"

Do not oil or lubricate the micro motor.

9.3 FUSE REPLACEMENT
ONCE UNIT IS UNPLUGGED - Remove the fuse holder from the back of the unit pressing and
unscrewing the fuse holder.
Extract the fuse, replace the fuse with one of the same type and value 1 X 1A T
After inspection or replacement of a fuse, re-secure fuse holder.
The micro motor is sensitive to shock. Do not drop or impact micro motor

against hard surface
Micro motor and console do not require modification.
