SAFETY MEASURES

The installation and maintenance of the air
conditioning equipment can be dangerous due to
the system pressure and to the electric parts. Only
qualifi ed and specialized personnel should install,
repair or maintain the air conditioning equipment.
Non-qualified personnel can perform basic
maintenance tasks as the cleaning of coils
and fi lters, and the replacement of the fi lters.
Qualifi ed service personnel must perform all the
other operating tasks. Whenever air conditioning
equipment is operated, all the precautions
indicated on the labels and tags that accompany
the unit, as well as the other safety measures that
might apply should be taken. Follow all the safety
codes. Use safety goggles and gloves. Whenever
welding, wear fi reproof clothes. Always keep the
fi re extinguishers at hand for all the welding tasks.
Before performing any service and maintenance
in the unit, turn off the main power supply
to the unit. Electric discharges can cause
physical injuries.
