SERVICE

In order to ensure the continuous high-performance
and minimize the possibility of premature failures
of the equipment, a periodic maintenance must be
performed. At least once a year, this cooling unit
should be inspected by qualifi ed service personnel.
To repair cooling failures in the units, refer to the
Tables at the end of this manual.
NOTE TO THE EQUIPMENT USER: Consult your
local representative about the possibility of a
maintenance agreement.
Before performing service and maintenance in
the unit, turn off the main power supply to the
unit in order to prevent electric discharges or
damages to the revolving parts.
The capacity to perform a proper maintenance
in this equipment requires experience,
mechanical skills, tools and equipment. If you
do not have this, do not try to perform any
maintenance different from the procedures
recommended in the User Manual. THESE
WARNINGS SHALL BE CONSIDERED, SINCE
SEVERE DAMAGES CAN BE CAUSED TO
PEOPLE AND TO THE EQUIPMENT.
The non-compliance with the following
warnings can result in severe injuries.
1. Interrupt the power supply to the unit before
performing any maintenance or service in
the unit.
2. Be extremely careful while removing panels
and parts. Likewise any other mechanical
equipment, personal injuries can occur due
to sharp edges, etc.
3. Never put any kind of fuel on the unit or in
contact with it.
4. Interrupt the power supply to the unit in
case of overheating.
The mistakes made while reconnecting the
cables can cause an improper and dangerous
o p e r a t i o n . L a b e l a l l t h e c a b l e s b e f o r e
disconnecting for servicing.
The minimum requirements for the maintenance
of this equipment are the following:
1. Inspect the air filter(s) monthly. Clean or
replace whenever necessary. Some geographic
locations require more frequent inspections.
2. Inspect the inside coil, the outside coil, the
draining panel and the condensate drain
at each cooling season for cleaning. Clean
whenever required.
3. Inspect the motor and the fan for cleaning,
at each cooling and heating season. Clean
whenever required. For the fi rst cooling and
heating season, bi-monthly control the fan
in order to determine the proper cleaning
frequency.
4. Every heating and cooling season, check if
the electric connections are well-adjusted
and for a proper operation. Perform a service
whenever necessary.
5. Control and inspect the heating section
(optional accessory) before each heating
season. Clean and fi x whenever needed.
Electric Controls and Cabling
Inspect and check the Electric Controls and
Cabling every year. Be sure to interrupt the gas
supply and immediately after the power supply
to the unit.
Remove the access panel in order to position all
the electric controls and the cabling. Control if
all the electric connections are tight. Fit all the
screw connections. If any connection is burnt
or smoky, disassemble the connection, clean all
the parts, disassemble the end of the cabling
and reassemble the connections in a safe and
proper way.
