The 2P+E adapter/tester assembly enables
identification of the phase and grounding fault on
all 2P+E power sockets with pins 19 mm apart.
It is installed in place of the touch prod adapter of
the testers in the C.A 7xx series.
Designed in accordance with the NFC 61303, NFC
61601 and UTE C 61340 standards, the 2 P + E
adapter is intended for use up to 276 V AC between
poles (230 V +20%).
It complies with the specific instructions for live-line
work with a high level of safety for qualified users.
(see diagram in § 9 Appendix)
Insulating body with safety guard
Two pins Ø 4.8 mm, 19 mm apart
Two earth contacts
Two LEDs
Two female sockets ensuring continuity between
the pins and the input terminals of the C.A 7xx
tester.
Warning label
Always carry out an Auto-test
immediately before and after using the
"adapter-tester" assembly.
Never use if the Auto-test is incorrect.
The Auto-test checks that the tester is operating
correctly overall: from the adapter to the LEDs via
the connections, the electronics, the buzzer and the
batteries.
3.1
Implementation
Plug in the 2 P + E adapter in place of the touch-
prod adapter of the C.A 7xx tester.
Short-circuit the two pines of the adapter using
a metal object, like alligator clip, for example.
Press the AUTO-TEST pushbutton and check
that the auto-test is correct by referring to the
instruction manual of the C.A 7xx tester used
Note: The Auto-test does not cover the lighting of
the neons (which are only provided to make reading
more comfortable); however, if the tester indicates
the presence of a voltage of 127 or 230 V during a
phase identification test, the neon on the phase side
should be on.
