VIII. INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
A. RECOMMENDATIONS
Following is a list of general recommendations when installing ACP system:
• Make sure ACP system is installed no more than 2 meters (78.7 inches) away from user.
• ACP system must remain in front of user during operation to visualize every indication (value, warning).
• User must be able to hear signals from ACP system properly.
• User must be cautious about ACP system displacement due to its connections.
• ACP system must not be installed above or close to a radiating device.
B. ELECTRICAL SETTING
Steps What to do
1 Using the screw connector,
plug in the ACP footswitch
(#19189) to the rear panel
of ACP system (#19188).
2 Connect ACP power supply
(#19190) to the supply
cord (#19450-19451-
19452-19453-19454).
Connect ACP power supply
to the rear panel of ACP
system.
Connect ACP supply cord
to the power socket.
3 Switch on ACP system
turning button "O/I" to "I".
Warm-up 5 min before
use.
C. CHOOSING THE PRESSURE
Steps What to do
4 Turn the knob to choose
the desired pressure value
on the digital display.
D. CONNECTING ACP TUBING SET

5 Visually check the integrity
of ACP tubing set (#19192)
before set up.
6 Connect ACP tubing set
to ACP system and to the
artificial chamber.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS

Finger tight only.
Visually check integrity of ACP power supply and ACP supply cord prior
use.
To change fuse, see chapter XII. A.
To avoid electrical shock, ACP system must only be connected to a
grounded power system.
Always allow an easy access to the electric supply and power socket.
Position ACP system so that displays, connections and buttons remain
visible and accessible.
Visually check the yellow LED is ON and fixed.
The display indicates the pressure in mmHg.
IMPORTANT WARNINGS
Visually check that :
• the display indicates the pressure in real time.
• the value increases or decreases in function of the sense of the
turning knob.
• the yellow LED is still ON and fixed.
MORIA recommends to gradually increasing the pressure.
IMPORTANT WARNINGS
MORIA strongly advises against the reuse of ACP tubing set as it may
damage connector.
Refer to instructions for use of ACP tubing set (#65113).
Poorly connected tubing, either on ACP system or on the artificial
chamber, may also cause insufficient pressure. It is important to check the
integrity of all connections.
Warning:
• do not reverse the position of ACP tubing set.
• if liquid appears in ACP tubing set (excluding infusion part), replace it
immediately.
• visually check integrity of ACP tubing set after set up.
