6.4 Air filter
Clean the air filter at regular intervals and replace it, if
required. Please also observe the service information.
Remove the engine cover (fig. 6a-6b/pos. 5)
•
Remove the air filter lid (fig. 11, pos. 25)
•
Remove the filter element (fig. 11/pos. 24)
•
Clean the filter element by tapping it. In the event of
•
hard-to-remove dirt, wash it with soapy water, then
rinse it with clean water and let it dry outside before re-
installing it. Caution! Do not use aggressive detergents
or petrol for cleaning the filter elements.
Re-assembling is performed in reverse order.

6.5 Spark plug
Check the spark plug at regular intervals for dirt. please
also observe the service information.
Remove the spark plug lid (fig. 12a-12b/pos. 6).

Pull off the spark plug socket (fig. 12c/pos. 23) by
•
turning it.
Remove the spark plug (fig. 12c/pos. 22) by means of
•
the supplied spark plug socket. (fig. 3/pos. 23).
Clean the spark plug by means of a copper wire brush or
•
insert a new plug.
Re-assembling is performed in reverse order.

6.6 Storage
1. Empty the petrol tank by means of a petrol suction
pump.
Caution! Do not remove the petrol in closed rooms, in
close proximity to fire or when smoking. Gas fumes may
cause explosions or fire.
2. Start the engine and let the engine run until the
remaining petrol is consumed.
3. Let the device cool down.
4. Remove the spark plug and fill in approximately 20 ml
of engine oil into the cylinder.
5. Pull the starter handle slowly several times in order to
wet the internal components with oil.
6. Screw in the spark plug.
7. Store the device in a well-ventilated, secure place.
6.7 Transport
1. Wait until the device has cooled down.
2. Turn the tank lid ventilation (fig. 4/pos. 7) to "OFF" (fig.
4/pos. B).
Caution! The device may only be transported in an
upright position even if the tank ventilation is closed.
