Miss APPY, the aerosol therapy device
designed and produced using the most
advanced technology. For an even easier
use, please follow the instructions on
preparing and using the Miss APPY ae-
rosol unit. However, before proceeding,
we strongly recommend you to read the
short list of warnings in this manual to
make sure you have fully understood how
the device works. Miss APPY is a class IIa
medical device, which turns medicines
in a liquid form into an aerosol spray, to
be directly administered to the respira-
tory tract. With the Sidestream nebulizer
cup, medicines penetrate the respiratory
tracts more easily, thanks to the optimal
size of the aerosol particles. Sidestream
signifi cantly increases particles fl ow and
reduces therapy time, which has a critical
impact on the treatment's effi cacy and its
acceptance, especially with children.
The device, which is particularly attractive
for younger users, has been specifi cally
designed to make treatment more plea-
sant for children, whilst ensuring all the
quality and safety standards of PiC Indo-
lor products.
Note: despite its appearance, this device
is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children
and do not leave children alone during
treatment.
The Miss APPY pack contains all acces-
sories for the most suitable type of treat-
ment, with a mouthpiece, a nose fork and
a mask (both for adult and paediatric
use). Accessories are in a practical apple-
shape kit.
Miss APPY is reliable and easy to use,
plus no special maintenance is required.
The special air inlet fi lter retains dust and
can be replaced at regular intervals.

WARNINGS
• Before use, carefully read the informa-
tion in this manual and keep for future
reference.
• Device for aerosol therapy. Follow the
instructions of a medical practitioner as
to the type of medicine to use, the dose,
frequency and duration of inhalations. All
other uses apart from the intended use
of the device are improper and therefore
dangerous. Artsana cannot be held lia-
ble for any damage caused by incorrect
or unreasonable use or if the device is
used in electrical systems that do not
conform to safety regulations in effect.
• After removing the device from its packa-
ging, check that it is intact, without any
visible damage that could have been
incurred during transport. If in doubt do
not use the device, but contact a qualifi ed
technician.
• Packaging materials (bags, box, etc.)
must not be left within reach of children
as they are potential hazards
