PREPARING AND
USING THE DEVICE
• Remove the device and accessories
from the pack and take the Sidestream
nebulizer cup (12)
• Unscrew the top of the Sidestream ne-
bulizer cup in an anticlockwise direc-
tion (4)
• Add the medicine and/or saline solu-
tion to the nebulizer cup tank. Use do-
ses recommended by a medical practi-
tioner or pharmacist.
• Close the nebulizer cup, tightening the
top in a clockwise direction
• Connect the tube (11) to the nebulizer
cup (5) and compressed air outlet noz-
zle (b)
• Choose one of the following accesso-
ries for treatment: nose fork (9), mou-
thpiece (10), adult mask (7) or paedia-
tric mask (8). If in doubt as to which
accessory to use, consult a medical
practitioner.
• Connect the devices to the mains
• Turn on the device, put the ON switch
(a) to position I and start treatment.
• Start inhalation. During treatment, the
nebulizer cup can be placed on its
base (d)
• Carry out the treatment preferably
when seated and in a comfortable po-
sition
• When the aerosol fl ow becomes inter-
mittent, stop the treatment for a few
seconds and let the droplets of medici-
ne deposit on the walls of the nebulizer
cup. Start treatment again and end the
session when all nebulised medicine
has been expelled out of the nebulizer
cup
• After treatment, turn off the device, re-
move the plug (e) from the socket, re-
move the used accessory and clean the
device and accessories as indicated in
the section Cleaning and Maintenance
CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning or maintenance, always
turn off the device and remove the plug
from the socket.
Thoroughly clean the device at regular in-
tervals to ensure it stays in good working
order.

Caution! Do not wet or put the device into
water or other liquids. Use only a soft, dry
cloth to clean the device.
Cleaning and
maintenance of
the nebulizer cup
and accessories
Remove and separate all nebulizer cup
components and accessories, immerse in
boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Rin-
se the accessories under running water.
After cooling, disinfect parts that come
into contact with the user with denatured
alcohol.
Carefully dry all components and the de-
vice before reassembling.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light
and heat.
Never use benzene, thinners or other in-
fl ammable chemical substances for clea-
ning.
For greater hygienic safety, we recom-
mend you to avoid using the same ac-
cessories for more than one person and
purchase a kit for each user (Aerosol kit
cod. 00 038405 000 000).
CHECKING AND
REPLACING FILTERS
We recommend checking fi lters at regu-
lar intervals. The fi lter protects the com-
