According to the instructions of ECE R129 regulations, it is recommended to use
the rearward facing position for the child seat even after 15 months of age.
• Install the Darwin i-Size Base on board of the car referring to the dedicated manual.
• Caution: before installing the Darwin Toddler i-Size child seat, ensure that the base
is clear of any object.

Install the Darwin Toddler i-Size car seat by fitting the two outer silver tubes
located on the bottom of the child seat (S1), in the fastening housings (B1) on the
base, until they click correctly.

The Darwin Toddler i-Size car seat is attached when the dedicated indicators
(B2) change from red to green.

Always make sure the child seat is fastened correctly before using it. Try to
pull it away, even vigorously.

Operate the release lever (S2) on the base until hearing the release click: the
suitable indicators on the base (B2) turn from green to red.

Keep the release lever (S2) pressed, lift and remove the child seat.
ADAPTER

The Darwin Toddler i-Size car seat is equipped with adapter cushion (A4).
It is recommended to remove the adapter when the child is more than 74 cm tall.
HEADREST AND HARNESS ADJUSTMENT
• The head hugger and the harness of the Darwin Toddler i-Size car seat only ensure
the best protection and safety if adjusted in the correct position depending on the
age and height of the child.

Putting your finger in the slot on the seat (S4), press the release button (S5)
and pull the harness extending it as far as it goes.

Important: never pull the harness by gripping it from the shoulder straps.

For an easier positioning of the child in the car seat, the harness can be
moved apart and locked outside the seat, fitting both ends (S7) in the dedicated loop
(S8).

The harness and headrest can be adjusted in 4 positions simultaneously to
adapt to the growth of the child.

For correct adjustment, the harness must pass at the level of the child's
shoulders.
Caution: the shoulder belts must not run behind the back of the child or at ear
height or above the ears.

To adjust the height, move the adjustment lever (S9) and accompany it to
the wished position as shown by the locking click.

The head hugger should never be placed too high or too low with reference
to the child's shoulders.

Overlap the two ending parts (S7) and insert them in the buckle until
hearing the blocking Click. Verify the correct closing by pulling the ends of the belts.

Let the belts adhere to the child's body, by pulling its end on the regulator
(S8). A finger should not pass between the belts and the child's body. If the harness
must be loosened, use the release button (S5) and adapt it around the child making
sure it is not too tight.
