the rinsed pipe. Then a new leak test is necessary. The final pipe installation must be completed
professionally.
8. After the rinsing process, a rinsing log (certificate) must be made out. The original copy must
remain with the customer and the carbon copy with the company performing the work.
4.3 Rinsing during domestic insulation
1. Set the switch to rinse.
2. Press the ON/OFF program button.
The compressor fills the pressure vessel automatically.
When filling the compressed air reservoir, do not pull the electrical plug when
the compressor is running.
3. Open the water feed.
4. Press the program button "Water + Air (pulsing)". And perform the rinse.
5. Read the minimum flow speed and compare it to the standards chart (see 4.3, section No. 3).
If the minimum flow speed of 0.5 m/sec. is not reached, rinse by using the storage tank and
pump.
6. The rinsing time per metre of running pipe must not exceed 15 seconds. Furthermore, each
tapping point must be rinsed for 2 minutes.
7. The rinsing process is over when no more discharges are visible. (When rinsing according to
DIN 1988, part 2, paragraph 11.2 (E), 2 minutes per outlet is enough.) For this it is recommen-
ded that the water escaping from the tapping points be allowed to flow through a mesh with
a width of about 100 μl.
8. After the rinse, the rinse compressor must be turned off. The compressor must not fill. The
filling process (8 bar) must be completed.
9. Then close the water feed.
10. Then disconnect the ROPULS from the power supply.
11. The rinsing machine must be separated from the test pipe, and all connections must be
properly installed. Then a leak test is necessary.
12. After the rinsing process, a rinsing log (certificate) must be made out. The original copy must
remain with the customer and the carbon copy with the company performing the work.
4.4 Disinfecting with ROCLEAN during domestic installation
For disinfection with a ROCLEAN injector, see the ROCLEAN injector operating manual.
4.5 Rinsing with disinfectant during domestic installation
Select the program "Water and disinfectant" in connection with an external dosing
pump.
Only officially approved disinfectants may be used to rinse the installation.
According to DIN EN 1717, if necessary, a suitable pipe separator or system separator must be
installed ahead of the rinse compressor to the tap water fuse.
1. The ends of the outlet hoses must be connected to activated carbon filters.
2. Connect the dosing pump hose to the "Disinfection" connector.
3. Connect the pulsation output plug on the Ropuls electronics to the electronics of the dosing
pump. This will adjust the dosing to the rinse compressor pulse.
4. Press the ON/OFF program button. The compressor fills the pressure vessels automatically.
5. Press the program button "Water with disinfectant".
When the installed stop valves are opened, the flow rate is displayed.
6. Open the taps on the system to be cleaned and check the disinfectant concentration. Here also
follow the information in DVGW worksheet W 291.
7. After testing the concentration, close the taps again and, in compliance with worksheet W 291,
wait until the system has been disinfected.
8. Remove the rinse compressor and reinstall the connections.
9. After an appropriate delay, open the taps again and let the rinse water flow out through an
activated carbon filter into the public sewer or, if necessary, catch it in a supplementary tank.
