Flooded Engine
If the engine fails to start after repeated attempts, it
may be flooded with excess fuel. To clear a flooded
engine:
1. Leave the engine stop switch set to
2. Open the throttle fully.
3. Press the start button for 5 seconds.
4. Follow the normal starting procedure.
5. If the engine does not start, wait for 10 seconds,
then follow steps 1 – 4 again.
Ignition Cut Off
Your motorcycle i s designed to automatically stop
the engine and fuel pump if the motorcycle is
over-turned (a banking sensor cuts off the ignition
system). Before restarting the engine, you must turn
the ignition switch to the OFF position and then
back to ON.
Running-in
Help assure your motorcycle's future reliability and
performance by paying extra attention to how you
ride during the first 500 km (300 miles).
During this period, avoid full-throttle starts and rapid
(RUN).
