Ensure that the colour coding of the wires is maintained when connecting the monitor and the outdoor video
camera (no colour coding necessary for door-opening controls).
•Terminal "6" on the monitor to terminal "6" of the video camera.
•Terminal "7" n the monitor to terminal "7" of the video camera.
Important :
For the wiring diagram please consult the label on the back of the monitor and the back of the video
camera.
b. Connecting an electric latch or lock
(fig. 6)
Connect the lock directly to terminals 1 and 2 on the back of the video camera (no colour coding). Note that
this function is only valid when the screen is switched on. The image disappears briefly when the command is
transmitted.
Important :
It is essential that the electric latch or lock installed has a mechanical memory like all products
marketed by Extel. For the wiring diagram please consult the label on the back of the monitor and the back of the
video camera..
c. Connecting a gate opener
(fig. 6)
Connect the gate motor directly to terminals 3 and 4 on the back of the video camera. The video camera consti-
tutes a dry contact without power for the "push button" command of the automatic control.
Note that this function is only valid when the screen is switched on. The image disappears briefly when the com-
mand is transmitted..
d. Controlling lighting
(fig. 6)
Connection of a lighting remote-control switch on the back of the monitor.
The monitor sends a 12V
signal to terminals 8 and 9 when the "
" button is pressed.
It should be noted that this function is permanently valid on the monitor.
In order to prevent the risk of interference and malfunction, never run low-voltage cables through the same
sheaths as power cables.
Caution:
under no circumstances should the wires be doubled to make them thicker..
e. Connecting a second monitor (WEVPMS 253.2 option)
(fig. 6)
1. Connect the wires securely following the wiring diagram (fig. 6)
2. To connect the second monitor, 6 wires are needed for all the functions:
•Terminal "1" on the monitor to terminal "1" of the second monitor.
•Terminal "2" on the monitor to terminal "2" of the second monitor..
•Terminal "3" on the monitor to terminal "3" of the second monitor.
•Terminal "4" on the monitor to terminal "4" of the second monitor..
•Terminal "5" on the monitor to terminal "5" of the second monitor.
•Terminal "10" on the monitor to terminal "6" of the second monitor..
Use the following wires:
• lengths up to 20 metres: 6 x 6/10 wires
