DUCTING
(ONLY for DUCTABLE VERSION)
The stoves are equipped with a vent at the back (see
Page 30 DIMENSIONS for the position) for ducting air
to an adjacent room using Optional Kit 8 (Code 297360)
composed of:
• pipe clamp,
• Ø 10, 1.5 m. flexible hose,
• vent.
Or Optional Kit 9 for ducting to two adjacent rooms
(Code 299440) composed of:
• 2 Ø 10, 1.5 m. long flexible hoses
• 4 Ø 14 cm. pipe clamps
• 2 Ø 10 cm ducted air vent kits
• 1 Ø 10 cm V-Union
The pipe that hot air passes through must be insulated to
prevent heat loss.
Curves in the pipe should be avoided if at all possible.
Ducted air distribution timing and intensity can be
regulated on the mimic panel (see Page 37). This means
that the air can be directed towards the lower front or
towards the rear (ref. Illustration 2, Page 28).
NOTE
To transform the standard version to the ductable version,
purchase the appropriate kit (Code 297350)
from the dealer and install and connect it inside the stove.
In the standard NOT ducted version, hot air is
discharged from the right halfpart of the upper front
grille and the left halfpart of the lower front grille.
NOTES on fuel.
These stoves are designed and programmed to burn pellets with 6 mm diameter.
Pellets are small cylinders about 6 mm in diameter made from sawdust pressed at high pressure without the addition of adhesives
or other foreign material.
They are sold in 15 kg. sacks.
To prevent damage to the stoves, do NOT burn any other substances. The use of other materials (including wood),
which can be detected by laboratory analysis, invalidates the guarantee.
Edilkamin has designed, tested and programmed its products to perform best with pellets with the following characteristics:
diameter: 6 millimetres
maximum length: 40 mm
maximum moisture content: 8 %
heat output: at least 4,300 kcal/kg
If different types of pellets are to be used the stove must be reset, following the same procedure carried out by the dealer the first
time it was lit.
The use of unsuitable pellets can lead to: decreased performance, operating anomalies, stoppages due to clogging, dirty glass,
unburnt fuel, etc.
The pellets can be analysed by visual examination.
Good quality: smooth, even lengths, not very dusty.
Poor quality: with horizontal and vertical splits, very dusty, variable lengths and mixed with foreign matter.
