19. GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
EURODETECTORS O
2
These detectors operate differently from the others: the Alarm Level is upwards -more oxygen- and the Ventilation Level
is downwards -less oxygen-.
2 SPEED VENTILATIONS
A non-programmable general delay retards 15 s the switch from the connection between the 1st and 2nd speed
ventilation. Furthermore, it will retard the switch of disconnection from the 2nd to 1st speed in order to prevent faults
in the ventilation engines.
OPERATION OF THE AUTOMATIC BATTERY FAULT
In the event of a power fault 220V AC an acoustic will go off and the display lights in the module lines will switch off
to reduce consumption.
If the fault lasts for a long time, when the battery voltage reaches 9V another acoustic will go off, if the one in the last
step has been inhibited.
If the power fault continues to last, when 8V are reached the module lines will automatically be disconnected: OFF
position. When the power fault is fixed the module lines will automatically be connected with the parameters they had
beforehand.
PROTECTING THE DETECTOR POWER SUPPLY IN THE MODULE LINES
The voltage output to supply the detectors in the module lines incorporates a protection fuse that is automatically
replaced.
This fuse opens up automatically whenever there is a short circuit on the line or the consumption increases (>5A). Its
replacement will be automatic and retarded when the anomaly causing its behaviour disappears.
20. RECOMMENDATIONS
Make the installation wiring independently from the rest of the systems that are installed.
Use protected cable 4 wires: 2 x 1,5mm
gas power supply increase the diameter of the 4 wires to 2 mm
Do not install the detectors near sources generating electromagnetic -fluorescent, engines, etc.- perturbations. Avoid
installing them near sources generating a lot of heat -it will decrease the useful life of the sensor-.
Install the detectors with the gas input orifice down in order to prevent dust and other particles from accumulating.
Connect the earth connection for the equipment because the relay modules incorporate a special discharge circuit
that needs that connection to be operational.
Do not install the equipment near switchboards, frequency changers, etc.
Do not drill holes in metal cabinets. Use the pre-cut holes provided for the wire input.
Do not manipulate or take apart any module, detector or device with the equipment voltage on.
In the event any of the fuses break, always use the value indicated on the printed circuit or on the fuse itself.
The output fuse for supplying power to the detectors in the module line opens up automatically when detecting a
short-circuit or excess of consumption. If this happens, disconnect the wires from the borne, check the wiring, check
consumption in amperes and wait for the fuse to automatically go back into order.
Never exceed the technical specifications described in this manual.
