Low battery power
Dog door
When the batteries are starting to run low the dog door will warn you by
emitting a bleep every 2 minutes. The LED will fl ash continually.

Remove the top cover by
pushing fi rmly on the paw
prints and by pushing
upwards.
Remove the old batteries and insert 4 x new
1.5V Alkaline long life batteries. (Fig. 23).
Your dog door will need reprogramming.
Follow instructions for "Programming the
Infra-red dog door".
Collar key
As the power in the collar key battery runs low you will notice a loss of
range as your dog approaches the door. Eventually the battery power
will become so low that the dog door will not open and the LED will stop
fl ashing. To restore power, replace the battery in the collar key and refer to
"Powering the Infra-red key".

Mains power adaptor (optional)
A mains power transformer kit can be purchased from the Staywell website
-
www.staywell.co.uk.
Instructions are provided explaining how to install.
Once installed, place the jack plug into the socket at the bottom of the dog
door (Fig. 24). Plug adaptor into a household electric socket
(Fig. 25).

Batteries can be left installed as a back-up power supply. If you are
powering the dog door with the mains power adaptor, and there have
been no batteries installed, you will need to program your dog door. Follow
instructions for "Programming the Infra-red dog door".
Cat collar key
If you wish to use your dog door for both cat and dog, we supply a black
collar key for your cat, which will operate the dog door. Your dog must use
a black dog collar key. Please contact Staywell Customer Care for advice.
