HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
IDROBLOC C may be connected to the independent boiler or
to the central heating plant. The distribution of the hot and cold
water to the fan coils comes from the IDROBLOC C.
The hydraulic couplings are located in the lower right hand
side and are protected by caps; the connections to be made
are:
- Connection between IDROBLOC C and a boiler or centra-
lized heating plant, to be made through a supply pipe and a
return pipe. If the boiler is not installed, the corresponding two
connection pipes will need to be intercepted.
- Connection between IDROBLOC C and the fan coil type ter-
minal units. The latter must be connected in parallel, to ensure
minimum temperature of the input water in summertime ope-
ration.
Accurate circuit balancing is recommended, so as to ensure the
design flow to all the terminal units.
POSITION OF HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
HYDRAULIC COUPLINGS:
A = Fill connection (1/2" F
B = Outlet to boiler (1/2" F

C = Inlet from boiler (1/2" F
D = Chilled water return (3/4" F
E = Chilled water supply (3/4" F
LOADING AND EMPTYING THE WATER
IDROBLOC C has a connection for filling of the plant and two
air bleeder valves, one of which in the upper part of the storage
tank and the other in the vicinity of the circulation pump at the
highest point of the circuit.
During the plant filling phase, keep the two bleeder valves open,
until the air has been fully discharged; afterwards, it is advisable
to close the bleeder valves fully, to avoid scaling. Repeat the air
bleeding operations, at regular intervals. The plant must be emp-

All the fan coils will have to be provided with piping for con-
densate drainage.
In the case of installation of a boiler with instantaneous pro-
duction of domestic water, and if there is a request for all of the
boiler's thermal power to be used for domestic water produc-
tion during winter operation, it is recommended that the fan
coils be provided with a minimal temperature probe so as to
stop the fan when the water in the exchange coils drops below
a certain temperature. This will avoid cold air draughts in cases
of lengthy requests for domestic water.
Where there is a requirement to insert some radiators for
heating, it will have to be possible to cut these off hydrauli-
cally and exclude them during operation of the plant in the
summertime.
tied in cases of extraordinary maintenance. Allowance must be
made for a suitably located connection for emptying of the plant.
To allow complete emptying of the device:
-remove the lower panel;
-connect a discharge tube to the emptying cock (1);
-open the two air bleeder valves (2-3);
-open the emptying cock.
