CONTROL AND SAFETY DEVICES

MICROPROCESSOR CARD
Composed of a management, control and display card.
The microprocessor card has the following functions:
• regulation of the evaporator inlet water.
• compressor timing delay.
• management of low temperature control (accessory).
• compressor working hourmeter.
• pump working hourmeter.
• start/stop.
• reset.
• autostart after power failure.
• operation with possibility of remote control.
• machine status display:
compressor ON/OFF;
summer operation;
winter operation.
• alarm management:
fluxostat;
low pressure;
high pressure;
antifreeze;
compressor overload.
• display of the following parameters:
water inlet temperature;
water outlet temperature;
heat exchanger sensor temperature;
• alarm display.
• set point adjustment:
heating set point;
cooling set point;
cooling differential;
heating differential.
An external Alarm report line may be connected to the 5 - 5A
terminals. The normally open contact is at zero potential and
can control a load of 250 V - 1A.
Described below in detail are the main functions managed by
the microprocessor board.

– ON / OFF KEY
The key is inserted on the inside of the commands panel and
is protected against poor weather and accidental contacts by
a transparent cover which also allows its status to be checked.
With the key in the Off position, and the unit under live volta-
ge, the antifreeze protection is active.
– WORK THERMOSTAT
The graph shown in the "Display and Setting of the Operating
Parameter" chapter shows how the machine intervention step
is calculated on the basis of the operational set-points set.
– COMPRESSOR CONTROL(CP)
The microprocessor activates the compressor depending on
the water input temperature, also checking the maximum
number of switchings-on per hour.
– CONTROL OF THE WATER PUMP ON THE EVAPORATOR
The water pump on the evaporator side is started up first in the
start-up phase, after 150 seconds the compressor starts.
After start-up, this pump remains in operation all the time.
When switched off, the unit remains in operation for 1 minute.
– AUTOSTART WITH "START MEMORY"
The unit, when the voltage returns, will go back into in the
same conditions as before the black-out. If the machine was
in operation, it will resume operation, if, on the other hand, it
was off, it will stay off.
– HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT SAFETY VALVE
Calibrated for 3 bar, it protects the hydraulic circuit from pos-
sible operation with excessive pressures on the water side.
– ANTIFREEZE THERMOSTAT
Protects the exchanger and the internal components of the
IDROBLOC C from the frost hazard by activating the antifreeze
electric heater.
The antifreeze protection is only active if the IDROBLOC is fed
with electric current even in the cold periods.
– LOW PRESSURE PRESSURE SWITCH
Of fixed calibration, located on the low pressure side of the
cooling circuit, stops the compressor operation in case of ano-
malous work pressures.
– HIGH PRESSURE SWITCH
Of fixed calibration, located on the high pressure side of the
cooling circuit, the switch shuts compressor operation in the
event of abnormal operating pressure levels
– FLOW SWITCH
The flow switch is fitted on the exchanger input and, if the
water flow is too low, stops the compressor, the fan unit and
the pump.
