4.1.2 Installation types
SE, SL pumps, 12-42 hp (9-30 kW), are designed for these
installation types:
• permanent, vertical, submerged installation in a pit, types S
and C, on auto coupling
• permanent, vertical, dry installation in a pump room, type D,
on base stand or base plate
• permanent, horizontal, dry installation in a pump room, type H
• temporary, vertical, submerged installation in a pit, types S
and C, on base plate.
Figures 3 to 6 show the installation types.
Permanent, vertical installation in a pit
The pump can easily be pulled out of and lowered into the pit via
the guide rails. See fig. 3. The liquid level can be set lower for
installation type C than for type S. See fig. 6.

Permanent, vertical installation in a pump room
Fasten the pump to the inlet and outlet pipes by means of flange
connections. Pumps with A100 or A120 (DN 250 or DN 300)
flanges must be installed on a concrete foundation. See fig.
below to the right.

Permanent, horizontal installation in a pump room
Fasten the pump to the inlet and outlet pipes by means of flange
connections. See fig. 5.

Temporary, vertical installation in a pit
The liquid level can be set lower for installation type C than for
type S. See fig. 6.
