1) Place the chain saw on a stable surface.
- Check that the area around the guide bar
and the chain is free from any object.
2) Rise the "I" lever (Fig.31 part.1).

3) Pull the air knob down (Fig.32 part.1)
"CHOKE"

4) Fully press (4/5) down the fuel primer (fig. 1
part 33).

5) Do not operate the throttle lever.
6) Lock the chain saw in position as shown in
fig.34.
Firmly hold the chain saw handle with your right
hand (fig.34 - 1) and rest your right knee on the
filter box (fig.34 - 2).

7) Give the starter cord handle a strong pull, until
the first coughs from the engine (normally not
more than 4/5 times) fig. 34-3.
8) Fully press down the air knob (choke) (fig.
35), so that the "THROTTLE ADVANCE" -
START remains engaged.
Do not operate the throttle lever.
