SETTING THE TIMER
The unit can be turned on at the specified time every day by the
built-in timer. You can also set timer recording from the radio or the
connected equipment.
Preparation
Make sure the clock is set correctly. (See page 22.)
Note that the timer-on period is factory-set to 60 minutes. This
period can be changed during timer setting.

Press the TIMER button to select timer playback
mode or timer recording mode.
Each time it is pressed, @ or ~$c is displayed.

The II SET button lights, and TIMER and one of the source
names flash alternately in the display for4 seconds.
Go to step
2
within these 4 seconds.
If TIMER in the display goes out,
press the TIMER button again.

If you proceed to step 2 after TIMER in the display goes out,
another operation may start.
Press the II SET button.
The hour in the display flashes.
Press the+<
DOWN or>-
UP button to designate
the hour of the timer-on time.
Press the II SET button to set the hour.
The hour stops flashing and the minute starts flashing in the
display.
Press the -<
DOWN or->
UP button to designate
the minute of the timer-on time.
Press the II SET button to set the minute.
The minute stops flashing in the display.
TIMER and one of the source names flash alternately in the
display for 4 seconds. Go
to step

within these 4 seconds
to select a source.
Press one of the function
buttons to select a
source.
The selected source name and TIMER flash alternately in the
display.
After4 seconds, TIMER in the display goes out and timer setting
is completed.
If you selected
the timer
recording
mode in step 1
Only the TUNER or VIDEO/AUX function can be selected.
If you press the TUNEFUBAND
button
The tuner function is selected, but bands cannnot be selected
in this step. Go to step 8, and select a band.
