Characteristics
URT is a series of electronic 3 phase voltage variators using
the phase cut principle.
A microcontroller carries out all the necessary regulating and control functions
according to the multiple possibile configuration modes (rtE, rPr, rS) for every
cut. The selected mode is programmed using a keypad and a 6 digit display
which also permit reading the settings and the scale measured.
This new series follows the style of the preceding analog series rtE, rPr, rS ha-
ving a double command input, with the following improvements:
• A single model per cut which can be configured at any time in one of the
numerous possibile modes simply by recalling from the keypad one of the de-
fault settings (rtE – rPr – rS), but retaining the possibility of modifying, whe-
never necessary, the values of the default parameters.
• Two complete, independent regulation SETs, selected with the "SP" input.
• For every regulation SET, in addition to the standard settings of Set Point -
Proportional Band - Minimum and Maximum RPM% Limits – Starter, with ac-
celeration/deceleration time, the following features have been added:
- Maximum RPM% Night Limit (the same one for both Set Points) activated
by input S5 (AUX)
- 3 RPM% jump zones, in order to avoid any zones of greater sound distur-
bance (the same ones for both set Points).
- Two input values can be chosen to force the fan speed at ZERO %RPM and
at MAX %RPM. The work lag can be defined separately.
• A programmable analog output which can be used as an alternative to dri-
ve:
- Up to six slave 0-10 Vdc units.

rated by the same input signal to the controller using a specific Set Point (de-
fined as +/- shift from the main ventilation Set Point) and Proportional Band.
Once the speed regulator Set Point has been set, in "bar" for condensers and
in "C" for liquid chillers, the controller acts on the speed of the fans in order
to maintain, near this desired level, the condensing pressure or the tempera-
ture of the liquid.
STANDARD versions are available:
V 50/60 Hz (other voltages on request).
Operation
By phase cut, totally controlled on the three phases, to partialize the effecti-
ve current applied to the load, without connecting the Neutral conductor.
The device can be equipped with a keyboard to function in the following mo-
des:
• rS POWER UNIT: the output voltage varies as a function of the command
signal present at the N.1 input, rising with the increase of the command si-
gnal.
• rtE/rPr CONTROLLER: The output voltage varies as a function of the com-
mand signal, rising with the increase of the Temperature or the Pressare. The
signals are received from two sensors (IN1 and IN2), adjustment of the output
voltage is dependant on the signal with the higher value.
A MEI Input Expansion Module is available if necessary to connect more than
two tranducers. Up to four sensors/signals can be connected in mA – Vdc –
NTC for every input of the controller, maintaining the possibility of selecting,
as the reference for the regulation, the Maximum/Minimum value.
