3 Lay out the cable assembly in a stretched position.
4 Push the liner through the wire conduit until the retaining nipple (4).
5 Hand-tighten the nut (3).
6 Cut off any excess length (x) flush with the torch head and pull out the liner again.
7 For a seamless transition to the contact tip, grind the start of the liner to an angle of approx.
40°. Deburr the cutting edge.
8 Push the tapered liner through the wire conduit to the retaining nipple (4).
9 Screw on the nut (3) and tighten it with the switch key wrench.
10Re-attach the equipment parts to the torch head (1).
9.3 PA liner
NOTICE
• New and unused spiral liners or PA liners must be shortened to the actual length of the
cable assembly.
• The PA liner is attached in a similar way to the spiral liner. For more information, see the
wire feeder manufacturer's operating instructions.
• PA liners are used for aluminum. PA liners and attachment materials are available on
request.

Shortening the PA liner
1 Use the ABICOR BINZEL sharpener (1) to sharpen the start of the PA liner to approx. 40°.
2 Guide the PA liner (3) through the wire conduit until it reaches the contact tip.
3 Slide the retaining nipple (2), O-ring and nut (4) onto the PA liner (3), hold the PA liner taut
and tighten the nut (4).
4 Guide the central connector together with the lengthy PA liner (3) through the central socket
into the wire feed unit.
