SERVICE SAFETY
1. If any part of this saw Is missing or should break, bend, or fall In any way;
or should any electrical component fall to perform properly; SHUT OFF the power
switch and removethe saw plugfrom the powersource and have the missing.

2. Tool service must be performed only at a Sears Parts and Repair Center, Service
or maintenance performedby unqualified personnelcouldresult In a riskof injury.

SAFETY RULES FOR THE MULTI-PURPOSE/PLUNGE ACTION
3-IN. CIRCULAR SAW
I _ Keep hands away from cutting area and blade. Keep one hand
on the trigger switch and the other hand on the handle/motor housing.If both
hands are holding the saw, the blade cannot cut them.

Blades coast after saw Is switched off. ]
1, KEEP your body positioned to either side of the saw blade and not in direct line
with the saw blade. Kickback couldcausethe saw to jump backwards.

2. DO NOT reach underneath the workplece. The blade extendsbeneath the
workplace when cuttingand couldcauseinjury.

base DO NOT cover the blade.The blade Is below the lower blade guard end base
(Pagi_25).ALWAYS Keep your hands and fingers away from the cutting area.
CAUTION:
This circularsaw DOES NOT have the standard RETRACTABLE
LOWER BLADE GUARD System found on standard circularsaws. ONTHIS saw
the lower blade guard Is an Integral part of the saw's base (cutting platform) and
ONLY enclosesthe blade when it Is ABOVE the base.
