Obligations of Owner
– Always keep the operating manual readily available in the vicinity of the Clamp assist.
– Correct and safe use of the Clamp assist.
– The operating and maintenance personnel must have read and understood the operating
manual before beginning work.
– In addition to the operating instructions, the generally valid, statutory and other binding
health and safety and environmental protection regulations are to be observed and
instructed. Such obligations may also apply to the handling of hazardous substances or the
provision of personal protective clothing.
– Installation, use and operation may only be carried out in full compliance with the relevant
municipal, federal state and national provisions, standards and regulations.
– Only operate the Clamp assist in perfect condition. All changes which affect safety are to
be reported immediately to the nearest responsible person.
3.3
Requirements of the Personnel
All work on the Clamp assist requires basic mechanical and electrical knowledge as well as
knowledge of the relevant technical terms. In order to ensure operational safety, this work may
only be carried out by an authorised specialist or a person who has received instruction.
Responsibilities of the personnel for operation, maintenance and service must be clearly
defined.
Skilled worker
A skilled worker is someone who, due to his or her professional training, knowledge and
experience as well as knowledge of the relevant regulations, can assess the work assigned to
him or her, recognise possible dangers and take suitable safety precautions. A skilled worker
must observe the relevant technical regulations.
Operating personnel
Personnel suffering from health disorders or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medicines or
fatigue must not work on the Clamp assist.
Service personnel
A specialist in the company of the operator who has been instructed in the service work to be
carried out.
