Step 5: Contact Closure Wiring: Emergency and CCI
• Both Contact Closure Inputs' (Emergency and CCI) wiring is
IEC PELV / NEC
Class 2. Follow all applicable national and local codes
®
for proper circuit separation and protection.
• CCI input must be used with dry-contact closure devices.
• If the Emergency input is open, the ESN unit will enter Emergency Mode,
which will turn on all loads and disable local zone control and control
from sensors and QS devices.
Note: The ESN unit will default to Emergency Mode if the Emergency
input is left open. If no Emergency contact input is required, leave the
wire jumper in the Emergency input terminals.

feeds via circuit breaker before wiring or servicing the ESN unit.
If line voltage shield is removed, the unit must be accessed
by a certified electrician, following local codes.

• 20 to 12 AWG (0.5 to 4.0 mm
• Strip length: 1/4 in (6 mm)
• Torque: 5 in•lb (0.5 N•m)
