10.3 General instructions for the coil mat
Both sides of the coil mat and the coil cushion produce the
same effect. The body should be placed in the middle of the
coil mat (length 1.70 m / 5.6 feet). For taller people it does not
matter whether the head, the legs, or both extend beyond
the coil mat.
People with physical disabilities can be covered with the coil
mat while sitting or lying down. The connection cable of the
mat is attached to the top end of the coil mat (head end).
Thousands of applications in therapeutic practice have shown
that people react very differently to the individual intensity
levels, and frequently a correlation between metabolic activ-
ity, intensity and effect can be detected. Different reactions
of circulatory parameters to different intensities of the BEMER
field could be observed. The experiences gained in therapeu-
tic practice, which are the basis for these application recom-
mendations, are supported by photoplethysmographic studies
(method for studying circulation parameters).
