SANITARY HOT WATER TANK (SHW)
If the boiler has been connected with a SHW tank we have to consider the following requirements:
-
The boiler can only control one SHW tank; in other case it is not guaranteed the correct operation of the boiler in case of replacing this
system for any alternative one.
-
The SHW tank must be equipped with a probe NTC type of 10 kΩ (25-120ºC) with a large inferior to 10 meters with a section of 1 mm
that measures the temperature inside the tank and controls the exchange water intake if necessary. For a greater distance, provide a
larger section as well as the shield of the probe to protect it from interferences.
-
Remove the existing bridge connecting the boiler and place the probe.
-
In warm seasons (summer or Autumn) where it is not necessary to simultaneously use the heating and SHW and only the SHW is
necessary we need to programme the display that the system works in "Summer" mode. Then the boiler will only work when there is a
demand from the SHW tank.
-
We have to note that when the boiler works in "Winter" mode the SHW system has preference over the heating circuit.
You should consider that under demand on sanitary water, the boiler will modulate the power, adapting this power to the
requests of this demand to avoid overheating of the primary circuit.
•
EXTERNAL INPUT/COMMAND CONNECTIONS
The boiler is equipped with a series of connectors, at the rear, to facilitate the connection with different controllers.
•
External room thermostat.
•
SHW (Sanitary Hot Water) probe.
•
3-way motorised valve:
-
"P2" servomotor connexion to activate the heating circuit.
-
"P2" servomotor connexion to activate the SHW circuit.
-
"F" Power supply.
It is important that the thermostats connected are "VOLT FREE"; it means that they cannot carry voltage. Otherwise, the
electronic circuit board of the boiler and some of its components will suffer irreversible damages. Same way, the sanitary
water probe should be NTC type of 10kΩ.

STARTUP
The electronic regulation set is very important for energy saving. It is compulsory that the first commissioning is always done by qualified
engineer during the start-up. At the same time, in order to guarantee an optimal performance, the boiler and its components have to be
received in situ by an authorised specialised technician.
Before connecting the boiler to the mains power, you need to check every point of the following list:
-
Assembly instructions observation:
Has every assembly step been properly done according to the instructions?
-
Cold hands handle
In the Hydrobox model under the hopper cover of the boiler you will find the "cold hands" handle in order to open the door. In order to place it
properly, it is necessary to introduce it from top to bottom and, later, rotate it.
-
Ashtray control:
Check we do not find foreign bodies inside the burner. While the boiler is running, no
part or component should be inside the burner or in the hopper. Closes the door and
check that it closes perfectly.
