4.2.4 SCAN operation mode
The SCAN operation mode shows the level of each of the active channels in the
channel plan through a bar graph on the display, within a frequency interval of 100
MHz, corresponding to the 14 channels from ISM band. Additionally, it numerically
shows the channel level indicated by the floating marker, as well as the number of
transmitting stations that have been detected in that channel and in the whole frequency
band.
To access the SCAN operating mode menu from any operating mode (CONFIG,
SETUP, LOGGER, etc.) press the direct access button to go directly to the main menu.
Later, select the SCAN [F4] option from the lower selection box.
The selected input to measure, appears indicated in the superior part of the
display by means of the symbol
This representation of the complete band allows a fast valuation of the spectral
distribution of the transmitters and to avoid therefore the congestión of certain channels.
It is possible to the future wait for an increase of the simultaneous traffic of signals due
to the increase in of the number of interconnected stations or the possible occasional
interferences of other signals that operate in the free band of 2.4 GHz (DECT
telephones) and home products as microwaves.
From this operating mode, the programmable keys [F3] and [F5] allow to
accede to the SEARCH mode or the ANALYSE mode.
