After setting the magnification factor at the micrometer
screw, tighten the upper and lower screws at the milling guide
again.
After tightening the two screws at the milling guide, check
the precision of the setting. After fixing to the milling guide,
both micrometer screws will still have some play. When turn-
ing the screws within the play, on both micrometer screws,
when set to stop, the factor set must correspond to the
marking. If the settings should deviate, repeat the steps in
section 7.2.

The value to be set is read off from the marker line at the left
border (red line). To set to any particular value of the multi-
plier, always move the micrometer screws leftward (from
value 1 to value 8)! A complete revolution of the micrometer
screw corresponds to a multiplier adjustment of 0.5. Thus,
two full turns correspond to a multiplier adjustment of 1.
36
The numeric scale is graded with intervals of 0.5 each.
The distance from one horizontal marker to the next indicates
a multiplier adjustment of 0.1
If the marker has been turned too far, begin with step 1 again.
If the screw was turned beyond the factor, turn it back by 2
turns and approach the factor again.
