Installing a Leviton MDA Patch Deck

Install a LEVITON HDF3168 Frame Patch Deck by following these steps:
1. Select the target rack unit location (Figure 10) and thread the provided 12/24 screws 3-4 turns in
the correct holes.
2. Place the Deck over the screws and while supporting with one hand tighten each screw to hand
tight torque.
3. Verify unobstructed movement of each tray.
4. Facing the front of the mounted Deck, place the cable management louver over the screws on the
left hand side (Figure 11).
5. The top louver screw will be inserted into the second threaded hole from the top of the target
deck RU position. Using a long philips head screw driver, attach the louver to the frame. A
magnetic tip is recommended.
6. Attach the rear routing guide on to the rear side wall plate (Figure 12).
7. Secure the guide with the provided #12-24 screw.
8. Attach all with a hand tool only. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

Installing and removing a Leviton Patch Deck Tray

Install or remove an HDF3168 Patch Deck Tray by following these steps:
Installation
1. With the label window installed, slide the tray into the target deck position slide rails. The tray
release lever will engage at the front stop point.
2. Press the tray release lever as shown and slide the tray rearward until the label window stop tab
meets the deck side walls (Figure 13).
