Front Door Kit Installation

Install a Leviton HDF 3168 Cross Frame Routing Kit by following these steps:
Notice: All removal from packaging, transport and placement of the Frame Door Kit is recommended
to be performed by two people. The Front Door kit is intended to mount over any decks,
routing trays or blank covers.
1. Remove the front doors from the packaging and carefully place them aside.
2. Open or remove the Cable Management Door.
3. Remove the right side screws for any hardware mounted in Deck Positions 0, 10 and 21.
4. Place the Front Door Kit in front of the HDF 3168 Frame foot.
Tip: Leviton recommends only adding a Front Door kit to a frame without current patching. If
installing on a populated rack, carefully secure all patch cords with Velcro prior to installing
the door kit to the frame.
5. Mount the Front Kit to the HDF 3168 Frame using the provided #12/24 screws (2 each at 3 locations:
top, center and bottom on the left side of the frame and at Deck positions 0, 10 and 21 on the right
side of the frame) as shown in Figure 30.
6. Verify cable management door opens properly.
7. Place the right and left doors onto the door hinge posts (Figure 30).
8. Verify doors close and latch properly.
