Installing a Leviton MDA Splicing Deck

Install an HDF3168 MDA Splicing Deck by following these steps:
1. Select the target rack unit location and thread the provided 12/24 screws 3-4 turns in the correct
holes.
2. Place the Deck over the screws and while supporting with one hand tighten each screw to hand
tight torque (Figure 9).
3. Verify unobstructed movement of each tray.
4. Attach the rear routing guide on to the rear mounting rail (Figure 10).
5. Facing the front of the mounted Deck, place the cable management louver over the screws on the
left hand side (Figure 11) and attach with a hand tool only. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

Installing a Leviton MDA Splice Deck Tray

All Splice Deck Trays are inserted and removed from the rear. To install an HDF3168 MDA Splice Deck
Tray by following these steps:
1. Remove the label window from each Splice Deck Tray
2. Starting from the bottom of the deck, insert the three trays in the perspective deck guide slots
3. Slide each tray forward until the label window mounting tabs are accessible (Figure 16).
4. Re-install each label window and return the tray to the closed position.

Installing Splicing Trays to a Splice Deck Tray

Install a Leviton Splicing Tray by following these steps:
1. Remove the label window from each Splice Deck Tray
2. Slide each tray rearward until the tray surface is accessible for mounting.
3. Place the splice tray over the guide post.
