CAUTION :
Before any intervention on the equipment, shut off the air supply and follow the
general safety instructions. Open the drain or the gun to depressurize the gun. The
ram must be in the low position.
CAUSE
The pump does not start
Priming trouble :
 Air is always coming out from the spray gun
 When priming, air (or material) does not come
out from the spray gun
The pump does not stop at once when shutting off
the spray gun :
 The pump stops only on down stroke
 The pump stops only on up stroke
The pump locks with an air leakage to the motor
On cup lub pump, the product overflow from the
tank and leaves by the leakage outlet

safe use of the equipment.
Check the pump air supply.
Refer to spray gun manual.
Be sure that the spray gun is fully opened and air
evacuated through this one.
Check the cleanliness of the strainer.
Air intake at the fittings or at the suction rod.
Check the upper spring.
Change the valve under the cover.
Check the pump valves. If a valve is sticked by dry
paint, it can be unsticked without disassemblying
it. Blow air pressure directly by suction fitting.
Check exhaust valve or piston seal.
Check / change the upper spring.
Change the valve under the cover.
Check suction valve or upper cartridge.
Blow air pressure in the suction valve.
Check the valve and the lower spring.
Check the motor valve under the cover, the seal
O-ring and the seal holder
Check the upper packing (GT cartridge, MB-A
cartridge), change cartridge if it is necessary.
Check / change the upper cartridge and the piston
rod.
