Trouble shooting
Problem
The motor works
but the suction
on the Jet Pump
is not very good
The electrical
motor does
not run
Insufficient flow
of water
The thermo
sensitive switch
cannot switch off
the Jet Pump
Cause
1- When you switch on the Jet Pump, the
chamber does not fill up with water.
2- The suction pipe has not got enough
pressure.
3- The filter screen of the lower valve of
the suction inlet is blocked.
4- The air cannot be removed from the
pressure pipe because the water
outflow is closed.
5- The waiting time does not correspond
to the regulations.
6- Excessive suction height (>7m).
7- No water suction on the lower valve.
1- There is no current.
2- The fan lid stops the blades from
rotating.
3- Blocked fan.
1- Excessive suction height (>7m).
2- The filter screen of the lower valve is
blocked.
3- The suction water level has gone down
too much.
4- The impurities have reduced the perfor-
mance of the pump.
1- Electric motor overload due to friction
produced by impurities entering the
motor.
Solutions
1- Fill the Jet Pump with water.
2- Check the recommended and used
parts and components of the Jet Pump.
For example, the suction pipe joint, the
pressure pipe joint, the retaining ring,
etc., including the strip on the screw
seal, made of Teflon or hemp. The Jet
Pump can only work if it is suitably
sealed.
3- Clean the lower valve of the suction
inlet and the filter screen.
4- When the Jet Pump starts suction,
open the water outflow (for example,
the tap, the sprinkler hose nozzle...).
5- Fill the whole of the suction pipe with
water or recheck it at least 7 minutes
after the pump is switched on.
6- Reduce the suction height.
7- Check the water level of the well or
swimming pool. If possible, increase
the length of the suction pipe.
1- Check the power supply.
2- Disconnect from the power supply, re-
move the lid of the fan with a screwdri-
ver, replace it turning the blade slowly
and check that this turns without any
obstacles.
3- Unplug the electricity cable and move
the shaft with the screwdriver through
the fan lid. If the shaft is blocked, send
it to a repair centre to be examined.
1-Check the suction height.
2- Clean the filter screen.
3- Submerge the lower valve to the bo-
ttom of the water.
4- Clean the frame of the Jet Pump, the
suction pipe and the outflow pressure
pipe with pressurized water.
1- Clean the Jet Pump frame with pressu-
rized water.
