machine (mild detergent).

in maintaining the safety and value of your product.
Exposure to such things as salt in the air, road-gritting
salt or acid rain will encourage the onset of corrosion,
as will inappropriate storage of the product.
• Removable covers can generally be washed. Note the
washing instructions on the product.

CAUTION:
• The safety of the baby seat is only guaranteed by
the manufacturer when the seat is used by the
initial purchaser. It is therefore not advisable to buy a
second-hand seat.
• The baby car seat is no longer fi t for use fi ve years after
purchase. It is possible, under certain circumstances, for
the quality of the seat to be imperceptibly aff ected if
subject to very frequent usage.
WARNING:
• The baby seat is only for use in car seats which face the
direction of travel.
• Fold-down car seats must be fi rmly clicked into place.
• If the baby seat is fi tted to the passenger seat then the
passenger seat must be pushed back as far as it will go.
• The baby seat may not be used on car seats which are
fi tted with an airbag. It might be possible to disable the
airbag (ask your car dealer).
• The backrest of the passenger seat must be fully
upright. If there is a head restraint fi tted to the seat, it
must be put into the lowest position.
• The baby seat must not be caught in the car door or in
fold-down seats; no heavy objects may be placed on
the baby seat.
• Never hold your baby on your lap when travelling in
the car. The sheer force released in an accident will
prevent you from holding on to your baby.
• Never put the seat belt around yourself and the baby.
• No modifi cations may be made to the baby seat and
the straps.
• Make sure that the seat belt in the car is not damaged
and is fully functional.
Tulip ABC.2020.1
• All the straps designed to restrain the baby in the seat
must be tightened. The straps holding the baby must
be taut. Make sure that these straps are not twisted.
• Never leave your baby in the baby seat for too long.
Although the baby seat is extremely comfortable it
is important for your baby to have regular periods
lying on its stomach. This is in the interests of healthy
development.
• When not in use, the baby seat should not be left in the
blazing sun, the residual heat from which might later
cause unnecessary discomfort to your baby. Parts of the
child seat could get hot and burn your child.
• Do not neglect to use the baby seat on short journeys.
These actually account for the majority of accidents.
• Never leave your child alone in the baby seat in the car.
• Set a good example and fasten your seat belt at all
times.
• Never allow your baby to play with the seat belt
fastening.
• Take short breaks on relatively long journeys so that
your baby has the opportunity to spend some time out-
side the vehicle to recover from the strain of travelling.
• Please read these instructions for use and installation
through carefully and follow them strictly in the inte-
rests of your child's safety.
• The baby seat is tested and approved for conformity
with European safety standard ECE R129. It is suitable
for babies from birth to approximately 15 months (0-13
kg body weight).
• The safety of the baby seat can only be guaranteed if
used correctly.
• The baby seat can be fastened with a three-point
emergency locking retractor belt on the passenger seat
or on the rear seats insofar as this belt meets the requi-
rements set out in ECE R16 or an equivalent standard.
We recommend putting the baby seat on the rear seat.
