Dear customer,
Congratulations on your purchase of one of our quality products. In order to avoid possible damage due to improper use, please read these
instructions for use attentively and completely before connecting the device to the mains network.
1. Scope of delivery
Electronic flying insect killer with mounting ring and mains cable
2. Connecting to the mains network
The device was designed for an operating voltage of ~230 volt. Before you connect the mains plug to the outlet in your home, please confirm that
the operating voltage in your home corresponds to this voltage.
3. Commissioning
1. Installing the device 1.5 to 3 metres above ground level is recommended. The UV lamp attracts flying insects. Do not hang the device too
close to other light sources. The darkest location in the area being protected is usually best. Install the device some dista nce from people
and foodstuffs so that the insects do not have the opportunity to come too close. If possible, close doors and windows while the device is in
use.
2.
Do not hang the device in front of an open window or open door since insects do not congregate where there is a draft.
4. Turning on the device
After connecting the mains plug to the mains network in your home, press the "ON" switch to turn on the device.
5. Safety instructions
1.
The device must be stored out of reach of children.
2.
Only hang the device by the mounting ring, never by the cable.
3.
Hang the device high enough so that it is out of reach of children.
4.
The device is not suitable for use in agricultural facilities such as barns, hay storage buildings etc. In addition, the devi ce is not suitable for
use in commercial operations such as food processing plants, butcher shops etc.
5.
The device is only intended for indoor use.
6.
Check the mains cable for damage each time before connecting the device. In order to avoid hazards, a damaged mains cable or lamp
must be replaced by an authorised service centre immediately.
7.
Never operate the device if it is damaged in any way.
8.
Never use the device for any purpose other than its intended use.
9.
The device is not suitable for use in rooms with readily inflammable liquids, explosive gases or dust.
10.
Never reach into the device with any kind of object.
11.
Never attempt to repair the device yourself.
12.
Observing the information on the cleaning and care of the device provided in these instructions for use is mandatory.
Attention:
Not for use in barns, hay storage buildings or similar locations (risk of fire).

Please observe the country-specific rules on the use of insect killers.
Operation out of doors is prohibited in Germany for environmental protection reasons since useful insects could be killed.
6. Replacing the illuminant
1.
Turn off the device, disconnect it from the mains network and verify that it is de-energised. Always allow the lamp to cool off.
2. Remove the safety screw on the bottom of the device and then remove the bottom cover (1/4 turn counter-clockwise).
3. Pull off the lamp holder. Unscrew the old illuminant from the socket and replace it with a new illuminant with the same speci fications. Mount
the lamp holder.
4.
Reattach the bottom cover and secure it with the screw.
ATTENTION:
The lamp may only be replaced by authorised, qualified personnel.
Warning:
Only use original illuminants for replacement (article no. 62307). If the illuminant has been destroyed or cannot
be unscrewed, please contact your authorised service centre.
7. Cleaning and care
Before you can begin with the cleaning and care of the device, it has to be turned off and disconnected from the mains networ k by pulling the
mains plug. Remove the safety screw on the bottom of the device and then remove the bottom cover if required (1/4 turn counter-clockwise).
Emptying the bowl at weekly intervals is recommended.
Attention:
Before you remove the bottom cover in order to empty it, the device must be disconnected from the mains network by
pulling the mains plug. If insects are stuck in the mesh, only use a soft brush to remove them.
After emptying it, do not forget to reattach the bottom cover and lock it into place by turning it clockwise. The safety screw
also has to be reinserted and tightened. Operating the device when the bottom cover is not installed or the safety screw is
not tightened is prohibited. For electrical safety reasons, never use water or other liquids for cleaning. Only use a dry, lint-
free cloth and a dry, soft brush.
