1) FIRST PART - CONFIGURATION OF THE SILENYA HT WIRELESS ALARM SYSTEM

The Silenya HT control units makes up represent the brain of a security alarm system with home automation options made possible by the
integration of the control unit with various types of detectors or sensors, control means and dissuasion and alarm devices. The dimensional limit
is given mainly by the radio range of the devices, which can be amplified through appropriate repeaters.
The Silenya HT control units can also manage relevant outdoor detectors , informing the user indoor and giving place to dissuasion signals for
the intruder but not disturbing other peoples. This because the outdoor detectors may generate improper alarms due to unavoidable natural
phenomena which interact with the equipment and do not depend on defects of the devices.
Before operating on the devices the installation project of the system to be realised must be clear because programming the control unit and
the satellites depends on the result that is to be obtained by the technical/operational choices made.
1.1) SILENYA HT: AVAILABLE MODELS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
All models allow to record vocal messages for customer information. The accessory board code 30029 is available that has pre-recorded
messages for the user (non-variable) and also a vocal guide for programming and installation.
Code 5500 SILENYA HT GSM Top:
an excellent level of security and considerable flexibility in home automation thanks to the integrated double telephone transmitter, which
operates on PSTN lines, as well as GSM network to call and reply. This is the most complete model in the range, suitable for large
predominantly wireless systems, with the possibility of powering and connecting hard-wired detectors and sirens, thus achieving a highly
effective mixed radio/wired system.
Code 5501 SILENYA HT GSM Free:
systems, independent from the mains, offering an excellent level of security and flexibility in home automation. For obvious reasons of
consumption, the GSM module only activates in alarm conditions, therefore calls (to panel) are only possible on PSTN network.
Code 5502 SILENYA HT Top: control unit similar to the 5500 model, but without GSM module, therefore the aspects of alarm calls and remote
operations are exclusively processed by the PSTN telephone network.
Code 5503 SILENYA HT Free: control unit similar to the 5501 model but without GSM module, therefore the aspects of alarm calls and remote
operations are exclusively processed by the PSTN telephone network.
1.2) ARMING DISARMING DEVICES (see Silentron s.p.a. catalogue)
The Silenya HT control units can be manoeuvred via the keypad on board or via remote controls and/or bidirectional keypads, which confirm the
operations performed: every user can choose the preferred device for practicality.

The telephone transmission of the alarm, as the small siren integrated into the control units, have a basic dissuasive effect on any intruders.
Therefore a good alarm system must be integrated with acoustic and optical alarms in order to disorientate the intruder and dissuade him: this is
the primary objective of anyone purchasing an electronic alarm.
The Silentron offer includes sirens and vocal dissuaders for indoors and outdoors. Moreover, using RX receivers it is possible to command
various types of automatisms (switch lights, spotlights, flashes; cooling, warming or irrigation systems; artificial fog emitters, gates automations
or other).

Silentron has the widest range of wireless intrusion detectors for the protection of indoors, accesses (doors/windows), outside zones near to the
building. The choice of suitable detectors is a compromise linked to the structures and the objectives that can be obtained by the electronic
protection: the highest sensitivity of each detector increases the security level of the system, but also the possibility of improper alarms. This is
also valid for, fire. flood, gas leak, uncommon temperatures and other detectors, equally manageable by the Silenya control units.
With knowledge of the features of the various solutions the user can select those most suitable for his building and requirements.
1.5) ACCESSORIES (see Silentron s.p.a. catalogue)
Operating in wireless conditions it is simple spazio to complete an alarm installation with useful home automations, which can be controlled on
site or at a distance via telephone. Switching on lights on passage, controlling shutters, blinds, motorised gates, inserting central hating and air

1.6) BATTERIES AND ACCUMULATORS
Silentron supplies all spare parts regarding batteries and/or accumulators for its alarm systems, but it also designs and produces using the
cheapest power supply sources and easily found on the market, for greater serenity of the user. The autonomies declared for the various
devices are variable, depending of the use of the same and their number in the context of the system: the more components in a system
inevitably leads to greater consumption of control units and sirens (when battery powered), which can mean more frequent replacements.
1.7) GLOSSARY
ALARM (various types) There are various types of alarm, which give different consequences. The "intruder" alarm dissuades and warns from
outdoors. The "panic" alarm supposes that the user wants to draw attention by activating the sirens, while the
"robbery" alarm supposes a direct robbery, where it is better just to activate telephone calls only. The technical alarm
must warn without causing fear.
ALARM channel Single location of a specific detector (two in the case of AND) which protects an area, a point, a surface, a passage.
Sometimes the term "zone" is improperly used to indicate a "channel".
ALARM delay: Time between the detector transmission and the actual alarm: it is adjustable on the Silenya HT control panels
Individually for each detector.
ALARM zone Group of detectors, can be armed/disarmed individually or with other groups (zones A-B-C). The 24-hour zones
panic-robbery-technological are always armed. The detectors must be appropriately divided among the various zones
to allow flexibility of use.
