4) FOURTH PART - PROGRAMMING THE CONTROL UNIT
4.1) GENERALITIES: Control unit programming is simple and is performed by operating on the control unit keypad or via
PC connected with relevant cable code 5997 and supplied software loaded. Follow the written or vocal indications (control
units with 30029 board) and check the consequences on the display. In order to fully understand determined programming,
the previous parts of this manual must have been read. General rules:
all programming must be confirmed with the ↵ key. Without confirmation the operation is not valid.
when the display shows symbols such as ↓↑ or ↵ upward or downward scrolling or confirmation is possible
when the display shows the letter " Y " (yes) or " N " (no), a specific function may or may not be available.
use the ESC key to exit from a situation; use the CANC key to cancel a programming.
use the ← key to cancel a part of programming while it is being written.
use the numerical keys to link or unlink the telephone numbers to the vocal/SMS messages of any kind and select zones A, B, C.
use the numerical keys to write the hour, date, minutes, seconds wherever required
Programming errors: in the case of incorrect entering the device signals the error with 1 or 3 Beeps (remote controls/detectors programming).
Attention! Confirming "CANCELLATION" annuls the entire programming!
Preparation: it is recommended to program the control unit on the bench, keeping the various satellite devices on hand, which make up the
system, sirens excluded. Successively, the control unit and the satellites will be positioned in the suitable positions, after checking the radio
range. The various devices must therefore be prepared by opening the battery or accumulator compartment. If the control unit has GSM
telephone module (models 5500-5501) the SIM must be inserted in the relevant compartment (see figure) before connecting batteries or
accumulators: if it is not present, the notice " !SIM" will be displayed. Programming is performed by inserting or connecting just the
accumulator: any connection to the mains must take place after definitive fixing of the control unit (see electrical connections)
