Attention! It is also possible for the installer to connect automatically to the customer's control unit via an access code (see remote
management menu) appropriately programmed at the time of installation: this type of intervention covers sensitive areas and responsibilities
since connection performed in this manner temporarily disarms the system, although this is essential for resolving problems in the absence of
the user. The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility in this matter and advises the user and installer to come to a prior agreement in
writing as to the use of the remote management in the absence of the user, who can in any case stop such a connection at any time by deleting
the installer's access code.
3.3) OPERATIONS FROM USER REMOTE CONTROL - HOME AUTOMATION FUNCTIONS
All control units can be called via telephone on the PSTN line network , by dialling the relative number. Only the 5500 model can be called on
GSM, by dialling the number of the SIM used. The 5501 model has a GSM module but this is normally off in order to reduce the consumption of
current, therefore it cannot receive calls.
3.3.1) Message 7 "guide": anyone calling the control unit hears this message automatically, which must be recorded in the installation phase in
a way to remind the user how to perform the commands that have been programmed, by entering numbers and symbols on the telephone
calling. The control unit allows various functions that cannot be described entirely, as they depend on the installation solutions adopted.
3.3.2) CALL TO THE CONTROL UNIT ON THE PSTN LINE
Attention! The reply to the incoming calls on the PSTN line is subject to the presence of the guide message no. 7 and/or presence of the
Remote Management access code: without this programming the control unit will not reply. To call dial the control unit number and close after
two rings and then recall immediately: the control unit will answer with the guide message or an acoustic signal if no message has been
recorded. After having listened to the message enter the user code followed by # onto the phone and proceed with the possible operations.
3.3.3) CALL TO THE GSM MODULE ON BOARD (only mod. 5500)
The GSM module replies to incoming calls immediately if it recognises the number calling: in this case it can organise that the number
recognised has direct access to the control unit without having to enter the user code (see 4.4). If not envisioned, after having listened to the
message, enter the user code followed by # onto the phone and proceed with the possible operations.
Query via SMS: by sending a SMS with a question mark (?) from a memorised mobile phone with direct access, this will receive a SMS
indicating the control panel status and the last memorised event.
3.3.4) OPERATIONS POSSIBLE BY CALLING THE CONTROL UNIT:
Arming/disarming: enter 0 # to know the state of the control unit: a vocal reply is given. To fully arm the control unit enter 0 ∗ 1 #, to arm
only zones A+B enter 0 ∗ 2 # , to disarm it 0 ∗ 0 #: there is a vocal answer and in the 5500-5501 models also an SMS confirm message
when the call ends.
Indoor relay controls: by entering 20 ∗ 1 # relay R1 is activated, which in some configurations overlaps the control set with the clock (see
3.2.6). Deactivation is obtained by entering 20 ∗ 0 #. Enter 21 ∗ 1 # to activate the other relay R2, to which another electric load can be
connected; deactivate by entering 21 ∗ 0 #. These relays can be activated/deactivated/controlled only in certain installation configurations,
therefore, this aspect should be evaluated during laying.
Indoor relay check: entering 20 # the status of R1 is checked: 3 sounds (beep-beep-beep) mean that the relay is active – 1 sound (beep)
means that it is deactivated. Enter 21 # to check R2 in the same way
Local controls: by entering a number from 1 to 16, followed by ∗ 1 #
receivers (example 12 ∗ 1 #). By entering a number from 1 to 16, followed by ∗0 # 1-16 deactivation radio controls are sent to the installed
local RX receivers (example 12 ∗ 0 #).
3.3.5) USER CALLED BY CONTROL UNIT
In the case of alarm and subsequent phone call, the person called can interact with the device; for example, to disarm the control unit by
entering the command described above: be aware not to proceed with this operation in the case of an actual break-in.
When someone is called by the control unit, the cycle of subsequent calls can be interrupted by pressing # on the user's telephone after having
listened to the message and the "Beep" ending the message.
3.3.6) REMOTE VARIATION OF MEMORISED TELEPHONE NUMBERS (MODEL 5500 ONLY):
By means of an SMS from a memorised remote telephone with direct access, it is possible to vary the telephone numbers in the telephone
book: to do this, write an SMS starting with the letter A followed by the numbers without any spaces in between:
A333555666 (old number to be replaced) A333666888 (new number to be inserted)
The device memorises the change and sends an SMS to confirm: CHANGE OCCURRED *333666888*
3.3.7) REMAINING SIM CREDIT
By pressing the € key you automatically obtain the residual availability of the SIM card ( if the SIM provider number is programmed - see 4.4).
To avoid problems, it is a good idea to use a SIM card with automatic re-charge.
3.3.8) REMOTE LISTENING
Whether the control unit calls a programmed number or the user calls the control unit, during the telephonic connection on PSTN line it is
possible to listen to the sounds in the area surrounding the control unit by simply pressing the ∗ key on the telephone used. By pressing ∗ again
listening ends and controls can be entered. If no other entries are made within 60 seconds, the connection will automatically terminate.
3.3.9) LIVE VOICE CONVERSATION - FOR 5500 AND 5501 MODELS ONLY AND WITH CONTROL UNIT DISARMED:
By pressing the ∗ key on the telephone used, it is possible to talk and listen live during a call to the control unit; similarly you can call from the
control unit as if calling from a cell phone: press the green button to connect, enter the telephone number within 1 minute and then press ↵. To
end the call, press ESC or the red key.
Attention! The 5501 model allows calls but you must wait for the GSM module to switch on.
3.3.10) OTHER FUNCTIONS OF THE CONTROL UNIT
A wired speaker can be installed in order to listen to vocal messages from a control unit in another location.
Control units with a GSM module offer other automatic functions which can be programmed during installation:
SMS notification of failure and reinstatement of electrical mains power supply (5500 model only)
periodic transmission of control unit operational status SMS (5500-5502 models only)
communication of SIM expiry (models 5500-5502 only)- it is recommended to use SIM without expiry.
