7. Combiner box - inverter connection
This chapter explains the requirements and the process for connecting the combiner box to the inverter.
Read carefully before starting the connection process.
7.1. Safety instructions for the combiner box - inverter connection
Consult section "Important Safety Instructions" and the following instructions before working on the
unit.
Make sure there is no voltage present on the unit before starting the connection. Do not switch on the
power to the unit until you have successfully made the rest of the connections and the unit is closed.
Ingeteam accepts no liability for any damages caused by incorrect connection.
Use the personal protective equipment specified in the section "Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)".
7.2. Wiring requirements for the combiner box - inverter connection
The wiring that connects the combiner box to the inverter is preinstalled inside the combiner box. If the combiner
box is installed next to the inverter, said wiring must be used. However, if the combiner box is installed separate
from the inverter, longer wiring must be installed that complies with the guidelines in this section.
Use copper cables.
Below we indicate the admitted section limits in the connections. The minimum sections indicated may not be
enough relative to the type of installation, so the installer must size the wiring relative to its needs.
