Secure the vehicle shoulder belt (not the lap belt) firmly into shoulder belt
lock off, while keeping tension on the belt. Only use the lock off on the
opposite side of the buckle. Do not use both lock offs at the same time.
If you are only using the vehicle lap belt ONLY:
make sure that the lap belt is locked, and that the free end of the lap
belt is stored so it does not interfere with attaching the carrier to the base.

LEVEL LINE
Using one hand, check that base moves less than 1 inch
side to side or front to back at the rear of the base.
Level line should be
parallel to the ground.
If not, re-adjust level.
