8. Norms for rack mounting (max. 35 DVBS2-COFDM CI T0X - 7 subracks with 5 units in height - 8,7")
8.1. Installation of the rack with
ventilation facilities
To facilitate the renewal and circulation of the air
inside the rack, and the temperature of the units
and thus improve their characteristics, it is advis-
able to place 2 ventilation units of 25W, particular-
ly when the rack with the DVBS2-COFDM CI T0X is
located in warm place, with a temperature higher
than 40°C.

These ventilators will be placed on a tray, that is
screwed onto the top part of the Rack, fi g. 1 and
2, and in this way the ventilators will be able to
extract the air from the DVBS2-COFDM CI T0X and
will be able to expel it via the gap (approx. 3-5 cm)
at the top part of the Rack. The air will enter again
through the lower part of the device, fi g 3.
