4.3 Adjust PAH for turbidity with 4-20 mA output (optional)

If the SC1000 Controller has the optional 4-20 mA output card installed and a turbidimeter is
connected to the SC1000 Controller, the turbidity compensated PAH reading is available as a
4–20 mA output. The turbidimeter must measure the same sample water as the sensor.
Configure one of the 4-20 mA outputs to represent the turbidity compensated PAH reading as
follows:
1. Select SC1000 SETUP > OUTPUT SETUP.
2. Select the output card (e.g., mA OUTPUT INT).
3. Select the 4-20 mA output that will represent the turbidity compensated reading (e.g., OUTPUT
1).
4. Select DATA VIEW > INPUT VALUE.
5. Select SELECT SOURCE > SET FORMULA.
6. Push ADD. Do not push confirm.
7. Select the PAH sensor name, then push confirm.
8. Select PAH. The display shows "A PAH [sensor name]".
9. Push ADD to add another tag. Do not push confirm.
10. Select the turbidimeter name, then push confirm.
11. Select TURBIDITY. The display shows "B TURBIDITY [turbidimeter name]".
12. Enter the formula A*(0.0017*B+1) in Box A. Refer to
Where:
A = PAH value
B = Turbidity value
13. In Box B, enter the formula name (e.g., TBR COMPENS).
14. In Box C, enter a location name (e.g., TANK 1).
15. In Box D, enter ug/L.
16. In Box E, enter PAH.

Description
Sets the sensor cleaning interval. Options: 0 (disabled) to 999 days (default:
180 days).
Note: A CLEAN SENSOR warning shows on the controller display when the number
of days since the sensor was cleaned is more than the cleaning interval. If CLEAN
DAYS is set to 0, a CLEAN SENSOR warning will not occur.
Sets the setpoint for the CONC TOO HIGH (PAH reading is too high) alarm
—0.0 to 9999.0 μg/L (default:100.0 μg/L PAH).
Sets the sensor settings back to the default settings.
