Evaporator: the passage of internal air heat to the
refrigerant gas occurs in this component. It consists of
an exchange pack with copper pipes and hydrophilic
aluminium fins (only suitable for non-corrosive and
saline environments).
Compressor: it may be piston, rotary or scroll.
Fans: they ensure the correct air flow. They can be of
different types depending on the model, they are dis-
tinguished in: axial or radial.
Control board (if present): the microprocessor elec-
tronic board is fitted with a set of terminals to connect
the board to the controlled devices. It can control only
one unit.
EN
Mechanical adjustment thermostat (if present): it is
of the gas load mechanical type. It has the bulb posi-
tioned at the inlet point of the air drawn in by the cabi-
net and detects and controls its temperature giving
consent to the devices connected to it. Adjustment lim-
its are indicated on the air conditioner data plate.
Temperature probe (if present): NTC type, connected
to an analogue input of the electronic control.
High pressure switch: stops compressor operation
when the pressure inside the circuit exceeds the cali-
bration level.
Capacity control pressure switch (if present): stops
fan operation when the pressure is less than 8.5 bar.
Pressure transducer (if present): measures the con-
densation pressure and is connected to the control
board. The value of the condensation pressure is used
by the electronic board to change the speed of the
condenser fan.
Contactor (if present): installed in models where the
power or components require its presence. It controls
the motors via operations of the auxiliary circuit.
Automatic switch (if present): protects from short-
circuits and excessive currents. They have adjustable
ignition circuit breaker devices.
Transformer (if present): in large power models it is
used to transform the mains voltage to that of the aux-
iliary circuits.
Auto-transformer (if present): it is present in models
operating with >230V two-phase voltage and three-
phase voltage.
Heater (if present): used to heat the air. The heater is
positioned inside the air conditioner, in front of the air
outlet mouth.
Heater safety mechanical thermostats (if present):
they may be of two types. The first with automatic reset
protects the heaters by interrupting the power supply
in case of excessive heater surface temperature. The
second is with manual reset and operates in case of
evaporator fan fault.
Phase sequence relay (if present): it operates when
the phase sequence is incorrect or when a phase is
30
missing. When the phases are all present and the
sequence is correct, the green "ON" LED remains on
and the output relay is energised. When the phase
sequence is incorrect or one is missing, the green "ON"
LED flashes and the output relay is de-energised and
prevents cooling enabling by providing an alarm signal
to the controller.
Please refer exclusively to the dedicated wiring dia-
gram of the unit for the presence of electrical and con-
trol components of the unit and for the assignments
of the inputs/outputs of the electronic board or of the
electronic thermostat.
All the equipment is checked and calibrated in the fac-
tory and normally no further adjustments or operations
are required. If, for specific reasons, should it be neces-
sary to make changes to the adjustments of the auto-
matic devices, these must only be carried out by per-
sonnel skilled and experienced with the product and
only after notifying the technical department of ELDON.
The unit is equipped with a series of control and com-
mand components that ensure correct operation. The
operation of any of the safety mechanisms indicates an
anomaly and therefore it is crucial for the cause to be
removed. It is forbidden to perform electrical bypasses
on the safety equipment. This operation, in addition to
being dangerous, renders the warranty on the product
null and void.
In the refrigerant circuit, the air conditioners have a
pressure switch approved according to EN 12263, cali-
brated to the maximum pressure permitted. Thanks to
the automatic reset function, operation of the air condi-
tioner is immediately restored in the event of a pressure
drop. The fans and the single-phase and three-phase
compressor have intrinsic safety (thermal protection
circuits inserted in the winding heads), this also applies
to versions with transformer.

ers/nuts bag, adhesive gasket, drilling template, con-
nector for CE units only.
