installation instructions before beginning installation.

TOOLS REQUIRED:
Trim Panel Remover, Test-probe
1. Insert relays. (included)
NOTE
The use of relays that differ from the relays
included can result in the unit not to function
or may damage the vehicle and or trailer.
2. Open rear door and push forward the rear seat
. On the driver's side, using a trim panel
d
remover. Carefully remove the compartment
door labeled "AUX FUSE"
ef
3. Locate the vehicle's white trailer tow plug, located
behind the trim panel removed in step 2
4. Locate a flat surface in an out of the way place
and mount the T-Connector's black box-module,
to prevent damage or rattling.
NOTE
This surface should be in an area that is
free of any moisture and mounted in an area
that it is high enough where it could not be
exposed to direct contact with any water or
liquid substance.
WARNING
The black box-module is intended to be mounted
ONLY in the INTERIOR of the vehicle. Mounting
on the exterior or areas exposed to the elements
or moisture could cause serious damage to
the vehicle and module. Secure the remainder
of the T-Connector harness with the cable ties
provided, to prevent damage or rattling and
being careful to avoid any areas that would
pinch, cut or melt the wire.

5. Locate vehicle fuse box in engine compartment
on driver's side. Insert fuses into positions
as shown
6. Locate the large grey housing under the
vehicle bumper on the driver' side. Remove
protective cap, being careful not to break the
locking tabs. Ensure that the mating surfaces
are free of dirt. Plug towing harness into
grey tow plug. Be careful not to damage
the locking tabs and be sure that connectors
are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
Route the T-Connector harness rearward to
the back of the fascia of the bumper
.
WARNING
Route the wire being careful to avoid any
.
hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or any

other points that may pinch or break the wire.
7. Secure 7-Way tow harness to hitch.
Bracket not included.
WARNING
Secure the remainder of the T-Connector
harness under the bumper with cable ties
provided, being careful to avoid any areas
that would cut or pinch the wire.
WARNING
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle
electrical system by temporarily removing
the key from the ignition.

8. Reinstall, access door, rear cargo door and
other items removed during installation,
being careful not to pinch or cut the wires.
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT
exceed lower of vehicle manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 2 per side (4.2 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (15 amps)
• Max. backup: (7.5 amps)
• Max. power circuit: (15 amps)
• Max. trailer brakes: 3 Axles/6 brakes (18 amps)
