READ THIS FIRST:
Read and follow all vehicle warnings and installation
instructions before beginning installation. Wear safety
glasses and use all safety precautions during installation.

TOOLS REQUIRED:
Ratchet, 10mm socket or Wrench
1. Chevrolet Equinox / Pontiac Torrent
Open rear tailgate and locate the vehicle jack
storage compartment on the driver's side.
Remove panel and tire jack to access har-
ness area d .
Suzuki XL-7
Open rear tailgate and locate the vehicle jack
storage compartment on the passenger's
side. Remove panel and tire jack to access
harness area.
2. Locate the tow vehicle's trailer harness 4-pin
connector. This is located at the floor of the
tire jack compartment and attached by a
plastic clip e .
3. Insert the T-Connector into the vehicle's
trailer plug harness. Be sure that the
T-Connector is fully inserted with locking
tabs in place e .

4. Locate the existing ground stud near the
tow plug connector. Using a 10mm socket
or wrench remove the bolt and place the
white wire with eyelet around the bolt and
re-tighten e .
WARNING
Make sure all other ground connections are
secure when removing and reattaching the
ground stud.
5. Open the vehicle's hood and locate the
fuse/relay box on the Driver's side near the
firewall. Remove the cover being careful not
to damage the locking tabs. Locate the fuse
panel schematic located on the inside of the
box cover f .
6. Locate relay positions 58 and 59. Place one
of the included relays into position number 58
to activate the Right Turn Trailer Stop/Turn
function. Place the other relay into position
number 59 to activate the Left Turn Trailer
Stop/Turn function fg .
NOTE
Place relays into position with the sloped
side of the relays pointing towards the
driver's side of the vehicle to ensure relays
function properly.
WARNING
Relays must not exceed a current of 20
amps. The use of relays that differ from
the relays included can result in the unit
not to function or may damage the vehicle
and or trailer.

7. Locate fuse positions 35, 37 and 43. Place
one 10 amp fuse into fuse position number
35 to power the Park Lamp Trailer function.
Place the second 10 amp fuse into fuse
position number 37 to power the Left Turn
Trailer Stop/Turn function. Place the third
10 amp fuse into fuse position number
43 to power the Right Turn Trailer Stop/
Turn Function fg .
WARNING
Replacing fuses that exceed 10 amps
could result in damage of the vehicle
and or trailer.
WARNING
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle
electrical system by temporarily removing
the key from the ignition.
NOTE
Store 4-Flat in jack storage compartment
when not is use h .
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires.
DO NOT exceed lower of towing
manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: (7.5 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (7.5 amps)
