WARNING

beginning installation. Keep for future reference.
DO NOT exceed lower of towing manufacturing
rating (including in your vehicle owner's manual)
or specific amperage ratings stated on product.
ALWAYS read, understand and follow all
warnings and instructions printed on tow
vehicle's battery.
ALWAYS wear safety glasses and use all safety
precautions during installation.

TOOLS REQUIRED:
Trim Panel Remover, Drill (3/32" Drill Bit), Wire
Crimpers, Wire Cutters, Test-probe, Utility Knife
1. Open the rear tailgate to access the bolts that
hold the taillights in place. Remove the taillights on
both the driver and passenger side of the vehicle.
Remove threshold, trunk floor panels and trays
Set aside all items removed being careful not to
damage parts.
2. Partially remove the corner felt trunk liner,
on both sides, exposing the vehicle's taillight

wiring harness
.
3. On both the driver's and passenger's side, pull
the vehicle taillight wire harness and unseat the
grommet.On both the driver's and passenger's
side, slit the grommet to allow for T-Connector's
C
wiring
.
4. From inside the trunk, route the T-connector
ends with yellow, brown and red wires thru
the grommet on the driver's side.
5. On the driver's side, attach two (2) sets of
connectors from the T-Connector, one containing
yellow wires and the other containing brown and
red wires, in between the vehicle taillight wiring
harness connectors. Seat the grommet in opening.

6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 on passenger's side with
T-Connector end containing the green wire.
WARNING
All connector surfaces should be clean and free
of dirt. Be careful not to damage the locking tabs
and be sure that connectors are fully inserted
with locking tabs in place.
7. Locate a suitable grounding point near the
connector inside the vehicle. Clean dirt and

rustproofing from the area. Drill a 3/32" hole
and secure the white wire using the eyelet and
screw provided.
CAUTION
Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to
avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal injury.
Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.
8. Locate a flat surface in an out of the way place
and mount the T-Connector's black box-module,
to prevent damage or rattling.
9. From inside the vehicle, connect the black 12 ga.
wire and the black wire from the T-Connector
black box with the supplied yellow butt connec-
tor. Either route the black wire thru a grommet
and along the exterior frame or follow the existing
wiring along the thresholds into the engine com-
partment up to the battery avoiding areas that may
pinch or break the wire
WARNING
If routing the wire thru a grommet and along the
exterior of the vehicle, be careful to avoid any
hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or any other
points that may pinch or break the wire.

10. Disconnect the vehicle's negative (-) battery cable.
11. Secure the remainder of the T-Connector harness
12. Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold,

fuse holder (provided). After cutting the fuse holder

vehicle's Positive (+) battery cable

WARNING
Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed
on the tow vehicle's battery. All connections
must be complete for the T-Connector to function
properly. Test and verify installation with a test
light or trailer once installed. For initial test, reset
